The last level of my levelset TomP3 "Final Destination" took me ages to get a decent recording, as well as being able to finish it. This level took me 9 minutes 59 seconds to beat, although it can be done faster by taking the riskier route, which unfortuantly gives the player a higher chance of being hit by a glider. Taking the faster route knocks about 100-150 seconds off the standard route, but I just took the slower route on this recording to ensure I'll complete it.
Thank god this level is over! I hated playing this level since the first minute of it is the most difficult. Once you get to the gliders it just involves being patient and using the "move and dodge" tactic for about 7 minutes. The last minute with the ice rink involves a little bit of luck since taking the wrong turn on the forces gets you stuck no matter what. I've already gone through this and it makes you swear and get frustrated since it takes almost 10 minutes just to get to that point! In reality, this level without the block-pushing part is only about 2 and a half minutes long!
The tedious part of this level, from 1:29 to 9:10 (I'd recommend you skip this!) of having to push blocks one and another to finish makes it more difficult, because if you die after or later on through that phrase, you'll definatly get frustrated. It's definatly not the hardest level in TomP3, but without a map it is difficult to tell where to go since every incorrect blue wall you go into traps you no matter what. There's also 3 luck factors the player has to deal with in the first minute. The blobs, the random forces, and the ice block that lets you through every 1 out of 20 times!
Oh, and when your on the tedious block pushing part, I wouldn't recommend messing up the gliders' path of direction. This isn't as much of an issue taking the longer route, but when this happens they can go in all different directions all the time, making it seemingly impossible to finish without some sort of miracle. There's no way of getting rid of them either, at least not now. Before, there used to be a cheat where there was hidden fire underneath one of the blue walls, which you could guide the gliders into with blocks, but this was taken out because I felt it made the level way too easy.
As most of you would have already noticed, there are some cuts made to the video in order to get the recording under 10 minutes. The original recording was 10 minutes and 12 seconds long, so I had to cut it down on minor things such as standing still to think, as well as having to shorten the ending.
Oh, and the reason I don't go for the exit at the top. It traps you, and the pink ball on the ice flies right into you from the side, killing you and making you have to start the whole level over again! Very evil ala Final Destination style. I wonder how many people fell for it?
